Annual Notice of Nondiscrimination

Each year, Hershey School District offers career and technical education programs at Hershey High School.  These programs are designed to prepare youth for a broad range of employment and training services and are offered under the guidance of certified teachers and counselors.  The following is a list of programs being offered this year:

Finance-Accounting Career Technical Education Pathway - Completion of the Career and Technical Pathway includes earning credit by receiving the grade of a B or higher in Accounting I or Advanced Accounting.  For more information and requirements regarding this program, contact the High School Guidance Counselor at 308-368-5572.   

Architecture and Construction - Construction I Career Technical Education Pathway - Completion of this Career and Technical Pathway includes earning credit by receiving the grade of a B or higher in Shop I and Construction/Adv. Construction courses.  For more information and requirements regarding this program, contact the High School Guidance Counselor at 308-368-5572.    

Health Sciences Career Academy in partnership with Mid-Plains Community College - Successful completion of the following course at Hershey Public Schools include:  Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terms and Athletic Training I, Athletic Training II and Health Career Exploration, and Understanding Body Systems and Introduction to Genetics.  This is a blend of three or more classes directed at a specific career field or pathway.  These classes include high school and Mid-Plains College credit classes that prepare a student for post-secondary education or entry into a chosen career field.  An Academy includes work-related experiences (such as job shadowing, etc.) at a local facility or business site.  To fulfill this Academy, students must also take one or more of the following either online, through distance learning or at MPCC.  NURA 1100, OFFT 2500 Medical Terminology, BIOS 110 Basic Anatomy and Physiology, PHED 1960 Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries of American Heart First Aid plus CPR.  For more information about this academy contact Amy Beyer or Bill Eakins, Lenny Hassel, Area Career Pathways Coordinator at 800-658-4308.
